My MISSION:

In our Generation we have seen an all out assault on our Christian faith.  We live in a culture that is influencing our children to create their own religious beliefs based more on what they think than on what the Bible teaches.  The message they receive from television shows and movies is that all religions are false.  Many media types even call Christians stupid fools and are a danger to the world.

Most Christians are not equipped to resist rabidly anti-Christian people who are intent on converting them to atheism. Intellectual skepticism is one of the major reasons why they walk away.  College professors are five times more likely to identify themselves as atheists than the general public.

More than half of all college professors view evangelical Christian students unfavorably.

(See article at Free Republic). 70-75% of Christian youth leave the church after high school  (See survey data at Barna and USA Today).

The reason for this exodus is that Christian youth in America are not being taught to cross examine the skeptical and atheistic views they encounter when they leave home. Some think church is irrelevant. Others, out on their own for the first time, are attracted by all the world has to offer and put God on the back burner. Yet many leave because they’ve come to doubt Christianity. In fact, intellectual skepticism is a major reason cited by those who have left. Now less than one percent of adults in America have a Biblical worldview!

We can lay the blame for much of this on ourselves — that is, on the church. While there are notable exceptions, most American churches over-emphasize emotion and ignore the biblical commands to develop the mind (1 Pet 3:15, 2 Cor. 10:5). In other words, we’re doing a great job performing for our youth with skits, bands and videos, but a terrible job informing them with logic, truth, and a Christian worldview. We’ve failed to recognize that what we win them with we win them to. If we win them with emotion, we win them to emotion.  Now, I don’t want to discount the importance of emotion.

If the Bible is true as I will teach on this web class, that God does want us to love Him with all of our hearts. But He also wants us to love Him with our minds (Mt. 22:37). Christians don't get Brownie points for being stupid!  We're supposed to know what we believe and why we believe it. And for good reason emotion alone is not enough to protect Christian students as they leave the protection of their home or make them bold witnesses for those they meet. When they leave the home with nothing more than good sentimental feelings about Christ, they are easy prey for anti-Christian people intent on undermining their faith.

                               So what's the solution?

The good news is that we can do something about it! Starting by presenting them with factual answers to take the fight to those who willfully try to lead your Sons and Daughters away from God.

I am enthusiastic committed to teach and to humble defend why we believe in the God of the Bible.   My mission is give reason why Christianity is true, how to defend it, and how to tactfully refute those who try to corrupt them.

I have named this Web Site “Boot Camp Training for Front Line Combat” out of my own personal experiences while using Biblical references throughout the Old and New Testament.  Time after time we read numerous references to, fight the good fight, run the race to win, put on the full armor of God, and gird up your loins for waging war against the worlds evil forces.

Scientific studies have shown by the age of seven personality is set. – Our personalities stay pretty much the same throughout our lives, from age 7 until old age, according to a new study. The results show personality traits observed in children as young as age 7 are a strong predictor of adult behavior.  Previous research has suggested that while our personalities can change, it’s not an easy undertaking.

Now on a Spiritual level,  It is only through a personal relationship with God guided by the indwelt power of the Holy Spirit that are old personality traits are transformed into His character It is truly a lifelong process.  Ephesians 4:21-23-- put off your old self, ---to be made new in the attitude of your minds;

So let us begin by training every Christian both young and old to run the Race to Win it.

1 Corinthians 9:23-25 Run the Race to Win

I do all things for the sake of the gospel, so that I may become a fellow partaker of it. Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but only one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may win. Everyone who competes in the games exercises self-control in all things they then do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable.

Hebrews 12:1

Therefore, since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also lay aside every encumbrance and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us,

Yes, We are in a War

Ephesians 6:10-13   Be prepared to put on the full Armor

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might. Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm.

 War against our own flesh

1 Peter 2:11-12

Beloved, I urge you as aliens and strangers to abstain from fleshly lusts which wage war against the soul. Keep your behavior excellent among the Gentiles, so that in the thing in which they slander you as evildoers, they may because of your good deeds, as they observe them, glorify God in the day of visitation.

 Fight the good fight

1 Timothy 1:18

This command I entrust to you, Timothy, my son, in accordance with the prophecies previously made concerning you, that by them you fight the good fight,

1 Timothy 6:12

Fight the good fight of faith; take hold of the eternal life to which you were called, and you made the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.

2 Timothy 4:7

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith;

 Do not be afraid

Matthew 10:27-29

27"What I tell you in the darkness, speak in the light; and what you hear whispered in your ear, proclaim upon the housetops.  28"Do not fear those who kill the body but are unable to kill the soul; but rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.  29"Are not two sparrows sold for a cent? And yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father. 30"But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.  31"So do not fear; you are more valuable than many sparrows.

1 Corinthians 10:13

No temptation has overtaken you but such as is common to man; and God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also, so that you will be able to endure it.

John 16:32-33

"Behold, an hour is coming, and has already come, for you to be scattered, each to his own home, and to leave Me alone; and yet I am not alone, because the Father is with Me. "These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world."

Hebrews 13:4-6

for He himself has said, "I will never desert you, nor will I ever forsake you,"

So that we confidently say, "the lord is my helper, I will not be afraid, what will man do to me?"

God grace working in us is the source of our strength

1 John 4:4

You are from God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world.

1 John 5:4

For whatever is born of God overcomes the world; and this is the victory that has overcome the world--our faith.

Romans 8:37But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us.

2nd Corinthians 12:9 And He has said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness” Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me.

Philippians 4:12-14

I know how to get along with humble means, and I also know how to live in prosperity; in any and every circumstance I have learned the secret of being filled and going hungry, both of having abundance and suffering need. I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.
